Our city is nestled among mountains and within a radius of 250 kms the mountains are draped by dense forest. These mountains are inhabited by various underdeveloped and neglected people who are called tribal in these parts. They are not all human friendly and authentic reports from Government and Non-Government sources confirm the existence of man eating tribes. Also, there are
diverse tribes who find clothing an encumbrance and many more have confessed that they have never heard of God. A major portion of these forest ranges and tribal belts are still virgin land and untreated areas. There are no roads pathways or even maps to guide an effort to these areas. For many decades Christian work has been going on and efforts have been made to reach these people with the Good News. Suffice to say that the combined efforts are encouraging and yet insufficient.
